Headwaters and NorthWestern Energy know how much our region benefits from the business community and are excited about the opportunity to work together and give back.  We’re looking to support businesses that not only help keep the main street of their community vibrant but contribute to their community on all levels. Grants will be ranked by impact and need and successful grantees will be notified by April 15th.

 

 

“Small business is the backbone of the economies of the communities NorthWestern Energy serves. We want to free up resources for small businesses, many of which are being severely impacted by the COVID-19 crisis, so they can continue to continue their critical role in our economy and provide employment for members of our communities,” states NorthWestern Energy Community Works Director, Rick Edwards.

 

Executive Director of Headwaters RC&D and the Butte Local Development Corporation, Joe Willauer says “We’re incredibly grateful for the generosity of NorthWestern energy and their commitment to the Headwaters region.  We believe that our small businesses are one of the many important factors that make Southwestern Montana an incredible place to live and are proud to support their mission by working with our business community. This program will support some of the many hardworking businesses that are facing unprecedented challenges during these difficult times.  We know that we will get through this together, and are very thankful for NorthWestern energy and their support of our region and Montana.” 

 

Headwaters RC&D is accepting donations from private partners in order to help raise funds with the goal of continuing the grants to assist as many businesses during this challenging time.  Donations may be made at the link below.
